The UWHC Imaging Assistant - Associate provides a variety of du! ties involving clerical, technical, and patient related functions under general supervision.
The Imaging Assistant Associate is responsible for the clinic patient flow by assisting members of the patient care team by providing a broad range of health care services such as: patient check-in; medical record review, preparation for the visit, patient education, assistance with medical examinations, treatments, and procedures, coordination and scheduling of tests, appointments and surgeries, quality assurance checks.
As a member of the patient care team, including registered nurses, technicians, clerical staff, medical students, residents, and faculty physicians, the Imaging Assistant- Associate is also aware of the psychosocial needs of patients and families.
Qualifications
Education
1. High school diploma or equivalent minimum
2. Completion of an accredited medical program preferred
Experience
1. One year experience in related fi! eld with customer service focus preferred
Licenses an! d Certifications
1. CPR within 6 months of hire minimum
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
1. Knowledge of and proficient use of computers
2. Demonstrated customer¿first attitude and philosophy.
3. Effective oral and written communication skills.
4. Knowledge of interpersonal communications in a complex organization.
5. Organized, responsible, energetic and able to work with a diverse patient population
Physical Requirements
1. Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting/and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Multiple Posting Levels
This position is being posted at multiple levels. Selection would be based on seniority as follows: the candidate with the highest seniority across all levels will be selected unless the candidate at the higher level has special skills and abilities required for the position.
Pay
This is a Represented position and falls in! to Pay Grade E. The salary range begins at $12.86 per hour. Education, experience, tenure and internal equity may be taken into consideration when job offers are extended.
Work Schedule
Hours are Monday through Friday between 6:30am and 9:00pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.
