Job Summary: Responsible for proce! ssing and set-up of surgical instrument trays, maintaining the correct sterilization parameters, builds surgical case carts using surgeon's preference lists, processes and distributes supplies and equipment required by Surgery, Nursing, Distribution for the treatment of patients. Other duties as assigned.
Experience: One year of related experience required. One year of related health care experience preferred.
Education: High school education or equivalent required. Successful completion of Central Service coursework. In lieu of CS course work, related course work and/or related work experience required. Central Service Certification preferred.
Skills: The ability to learn, understand, and operate sophisticated central service equipment including: washer/decontaminator, heat sealers, ultrasonic cleaner, steam and gas sterilizers, aeration cabinets, drying cabinet, air compressor, and computer.
