This is a casual day shift position and willinclude a weekend and holiday rotation. At Ministry Saint Michael's Hospital, we realize thathospital stays are more than just medical events.Saint Michael's makes cleanliness a top priority and we strive to ensure thatour patients' stays are as comfortable as possible. Our 180+ bed, hospital is staffed 24/7 with Housekeepers who clean and service hospital areas to insure the safety, health and the morale of patients, visitors and employees.
This specific position will float throughout our hospital, so if you are looking for variety - apply today! A Housekeeper may be assigned to one nursing unit in the hospital. They will service rooms currently occupied by patients and clean recently discharged rooms. Along with rooms, a Housekeeper will maintain floors, walls, waiting rooms, lights and furniture on the assigned nursing unit.
Due to the nature of the facility, Housekeepers are able to clean many areas in the hospital including: Offices, waiting rooms, lobbies, clean and soiled utility rooms, hallways, stairwells, Isolation rooms, IORT, Surgery Suites, Cath Lab, Sterile Pharmacy, and LDR & C-Section rooms. Housekeepers will have to collect and dispose of items which may include infectious waste and recyclable products.
