Job Summary: The PACU/POHA Manager is an experienced nurse with knowledge of and commitment to the peri and post operative care of patients. Manages and coordinates the day-to-day functions of the post-operative care unit (PACU) and pre-op holding areas (POHA). This individual applies principles of leadership and human relations in the overall coordination and supervision of patient care and personnel. This position may be delegated certain responsibilities in the absence of the Director of PAT/Day Surgery/PACU/POHA.
Education: Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at the level normally acquired through completion of a program at an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
Experience: A minimum of three to five years of progressively more responsible experience in a related setting. Critical Care or PACU experience required. Previous management experience, 2-4 years preferred.
Licensure: Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
