We are seeking a suitably qualified Trainee Branch Manager to oversee all branch functions within a leading furniture retail store. The ideal candidate needs to take ownership of all branch activities, lead a profitable, and sustainable business unit which contributes to the overall success of the organisation.
Ideal candidates would have solid experience running a store and would have had exposure to managing profit and growth targets within the retail environment. The role is responsible to communicate and drive daily operations of the branch and ensure its alignment to company goals. The role would drive all people related issues, customer service, sales, stock and credit management within the branch.
Key Requirements
- Confident, self-motivated and driven to succeed
- Must have good communication skills and ability to motivate staff
- Have at least 2 years’ experience in a furniture retail business with nothing less than 1 year experience in a managerial or 2nd in charge role
- Be able to work and perform under pressure
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have a Matric / Grade 12 educational qualification
- Must be fully transferable within the Western Cape Region
