Job Description
An exciting new opportunity to join a team of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners awaits you in Emergency Medicine at Mayo Clinic Health System! Based in Northwest Wisconsin, where annual patient volumes are continuously rising, youâll have the opportunity to lead a team of healthcare professionals utilizing your well-developed procedural skills in handling critical cases. Staffing shifts is expected in our critical access hospitals in Barron, Bloomer and Osseo as well as in our Level II trauma center in Eau Claire.
With no call, 10 - 12 hr shifts, and ample input in schedule-setting, this position offers plenty of work-life balance.
SITE INFORMATION
Our facility in Barron has a wide range of services including 24-hour emergency medical care, urgent care, sa! me-day surgery, womenâs health, advanced diagnostic technolo! gy, cardiac and pulmonary rehab, as well as occupational and physical therapy. Technologically advanced resources make it possible to practice state-of-the-art medicine in a vacation-like setting.

Our communities in Barron, Bloomer, Eau Claire and Osseo are a quick 90 minutes outside the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. Basic Qualifications:
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant degree program. Must complete 100 hours of Continuing Medical Education, (CME), every two years. Nurse Practitioner: Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner degree program. Must complete 25 hours of Continuing Medical Education, (CME), every 5 years.
Other Qualifications:
Unrestricted prescriptive authority in Wisconsin, (Wisconsin Board of Medical Examiners and DEA).
Eligible for Allied Health privileges at Mayo Clinic Health System.
License or Certification:
Physician Assistant: Current Wisconsin Physician Assistant License. Current NCCPA certification. Must successfully complete NCCPA recertification exam every six years.
Nurse Practitioner: Active Wisconsin ! RN license or ability to practice professional nursing in the state of ! Wisconsin. Current Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber certificate. Current National certification (e.g. ANCC or AANP) as a Nurse Practitioner: Family or Adult

Current certifications required at the time of hire: BLS; ACLS. TNCC preferred.
Certifications/courses to complete within 1 year of hire: CALS, ATLS auditor course, PALS, Advanced Airway Management and Procedural Sedation-Physician Course. NRP preferred.
Preferred certifications/courses: ACLS-EP; Combat Casualty Care Course, (C-4), Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant Basic Studies Course certification.
Preferred: Two years of Emergency Department experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Experience in Urgent Care, General Medicine or Family Practice.

Hours/Pay Period: Full time
Schedule Details: 12-hour shifts in Barron, Bl! oomer & Osseo; 10-hr shifts in Eau Claire
Weekend Schedule: A weekend rotation is required.
Compensation Detail: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every two weeks is approximately $3,048, based on a full-time position.
