The

Director of Perioperative Services

will serve in a leadership role, managing the delivery of perioperative care at 50+ anesthetizing locations spread throughout the hospital complexes. The Department of Anesthesiology employs/directs 70+ anesthesiologists, 60+ Nurse Anesthetists and Anesthesiologist Assistants, and 50+ residents. Program features include:

566-bed facility with a new children’s hospital located all on one campus,

offering all surgical and anesthesia related services including level one trauma, transplants, cardiac, complex pediatrics and all other surgical services. Constructi! on underway for a new 86-bed specialty hospital located on Mad! ison’s eastside

Be an integral leader of an innovative, tripartite perioperative services structure that includes collaboration amongst anesthesiology, surgery and nursing services leadership

Ranked in the top 50 U.S. hospitals in seven medical specialties, U.S. News & World Report, “America’s Best Hospitals 2012.” Ranked as “high-performing” in five additional specialty areas and as the top hospital in Wisconsin

The position will involve approximately 50% protected administrative time and 50% clinical time, with teaching opportunities and optional research involvement

Excellent compensation and benefits package

Preferred candidate will have

Demonstrated experience in Operating Room management

Quality Assurance and Utilization Review certifications/experience

Lean Six Sigma certification or similar lean practices background

Administrative experience running a perioperative program i! n a large academic medical center or private hospital setting
