Responsibilities:
Major Responsibilities:
Assembles patient and mobile meal trays/meals in accordance with approved diet guidelines and portions while adhering
to productivity standards.
Loads and transports food! carts. Delivers patient meal trays to patient rooms in accord! ance with established procedures.
May provide initial service to visitors in the cafeteria by serving food and maintaining the cleanliness of the cafeteria.
Performs cleaning duties using established sanitation procedures in the kitchen and cafeteria.
Washes pots, pans, and dishes according to established procedures.
Prepares snacks, beverages, sandwiches and other patient food items in accordance with approved diet guidelines and
portions while adhering to productivity standards.
Delivers and stocks all nursing units, doctors' lounges, same day surgery and emergency rooms, following established
procedures while adhering to productivity standards.
Replenishes food service areas to include supply of dishes, foods, beverages, condiments, and other established
supplies.
Monitors food temperatures and utilizes established procedures to insure safe food handling techniques and prevent bacteria contamination.
Qualifications:!
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Advanced knowledge in food service from within a hospital, hotel, restaurant or a related environment.
Incumbent will also be required to be available for weekend and holiday assignments.
Ability to read and understand written and oral communications.
Good communication and customer service skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers
Scheduled Hours:
.2 FTEs (16 hours) generally work 2
nd
shift from 4-8 with an e/o weekend.
Manager is open to weekend hours being on 1
st
or 2
nd
shift.
Manager is open to the schedule during the week to be tailored a bit to match the candidate’s needs and the departments.
