Performing a variety of preparatory, scrubbing and related services necessary to provide patient service in the Operating Room
Providing for a clean, safe and efficient area conducive to optimal patient care. This includes the application of knowledge and experience with aseptic surgical technique in the preparation of materials, supplies and equipment for the surgical procedure.
Assisting in the cleanup of the room between procedures. Making the necessary preparations for subsequent procedures and for the next day’s procedures, including restocking, supplying, and coordinating materials required for use on procedures. Cleaning, wrapping and sterilizing instruments and supplies as needed.
Setting up, according to each physician’s specification preference cards and operating the various types of equipment used during OR procedures, especially as it relates to the area of specialization. Updating preference cards as needed. General Qualifications BLS certification is REQUIRED
High school education or equivalent is REQUIRED
Successful completion of an approved Surgical Technologist training program is REQUIRED
Will consider candidates with relevant military training, or extensive experience as a Surgical Technologist may be considered in lieu of a formal training program
