We are seeking an experienced Linux Operations Engineer to join our team. As a Linux Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and efficiency of our Linux infrastructure. You will work closely with our development, security, and infrastructure teams to design, deploy, and manage Linux-based systems and applications.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy and manage applications deployed on Linux.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system and application issues, and provide technical support.
- Design and implement security measures to protect Linux servers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system and application reliability and stability.
- Develop and maintain documentation for Linux-based systems and applications.
- Optimizing current and future solutions while also having direct contact with our customers.
- Prioritization and follow-up of customer inquiries within own work area
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Linux system administration and operations.
- Proficiency in Linux system administration, networking, and security.
- Overall experience with physical and virtual infrastructure, such as networking, backup and virtualization
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Ruby.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and work outside of regular business hours.
- Experience with two or more of the following technologies/frameworks, willingness to effectively learn some of the others: Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Tomcat, JBoss, AMQ, Ansible, Oracle Weblogic, Oracle DB, Puppet, Orion, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, CRM or SharePoint, Caac/GitOps, Jenkins.
