Job Description
Medical scribes are an important part of the healthcar e team that assists a physician in hospital or clinic. Scribes assist physicians by performing clerical duties in a clinical setting. Scribes facilitate the patient/physician interaction by allowing the physician more patient time without the worries of documentation stress.
Job Duties:
Chart in real time while provider examines and evaluates the patient. Reviews past medical records while recording all consultation with the healthcare team. Documents all procedures and treatments performed by physician. Document and retrieve test results and perform other clerical duties as needed.
Requirements:
Must type 40+ WPM. Pursuing a degree in healthcare or future career plans for career in healthcare. Commit to 1 year of employment at one of our locations. Able to work four shift per week. Shift last from 8-12 hours. Must be able to lift and carry a mobile work station and stand for extended periods.
Availability:
Must be able to attend training course. Work minimum of 2 shift per week. Shifts last 8-12 hours. Must commit to 1 year of employment. Apply at: www.foxvalleyscribes.com
