Assists the surgical team members (surgeon, anesthesiologist, CRNA, perfusion, circulator) in providing intraoperative care to the perioperative patient by preparing and monitoring equipment, passing instruments, maintaining the sterile field, assisting with patient transfer/positioning and performing a variety of surgical skills and procedures.
Education
Completion of an approved surgical technologist program.
High School Diploma or GED-Required
Experience
2 Year(s)-Surgery-Preferred
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
Successful completion and maintenance of National certification within one year of employment.
Licensed in the state of practice, if applicable
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)-Preferred
