We are currently seeking a
Medical Assistant
to:
Join our UW Health dermatologists who diagnose and treat diseases of the skin, hair, nails and mucous membranes in a fast-paced clinic
Provide hands-on assistance with procedures, including biopsies, excisions, and suture removals
Deliver quality care in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment
Promote healthy life styles, wellness and education
Be a part of a positive, patient-centered team
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum â€" Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or licensure as an LPN
Work Experience:
Minimum â€" Will consider new Medical Assistant and LPN graduates
Preferred â€" One year experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum â€"
Certified as CMA, RMA or CCMA or eligible for certification. Certification must be obtained within one year of hire from date of hire. CPR Certification.
Physical Requirements:
Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting/and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Work Schedule:
40 hours per week, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00am â€" 5:00pm. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department. Must be willing to cross cover at the East Clinic location.
Pay:
The starting salary for this position is $16.00. UW Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.
Sign-On Bonus:
This position is eligible for up to a $2,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated on FTE/Hours).
