Affinity Medical Group, an integrated health care organization providing quality care and services throughout East Central Wisconsin, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our General Surgery Department/team at our clinic location in Appleton.
Under the supervision of the surgeon, complete patient histories and physical examinations, order diagnostic studies to form a diagnostic impression, initiate the management of therapi! es, educate and counsel patients, make referrals and issue pre! scription orders for medications. Function as First Assist in the operating room. Available to the surgeon when she/he is on call.
Qualifications
Requirements:
NURSE PRACTITIONER: Masters prepared in Nursing. Licensed as registered nurse in State of Wisconsin. Certification as Nurse Practitioner by American Nursing Association. Current BLS certification required. One year as a Nurse Practitioner with prior surgical experience preferred. Will train the right candidate.
PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program with National Certification and licensed in the State of Wisconsin or eligible. One year prior experience as a Physician Assistant with prior surgical experience is preferred. Will train the right candidate.
