Care Partner position on West 4 PICU. .4 day position. This is not a benefit eligible position. Will consider students who are not graduating before May 2015. Must be able to provide availability at least 2 days during the week. May be 8 or 12 hour shifts. Includes weekend and holiday rotation.
Surgical-Medical Pediatric Critical Care Unit is a 24-bed multispecialty intensive care unit. Nurses here care for the immediate postoperative needs of patients requiring intensive airway management and physiologic monitoring such as those recovering from spinal fusion or trauma requiring surgery.
Performs as a partner with the care management team under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Requires high school education or equivalent, State of Wisconsin Registry for nursing assistant or nursing students who have successfully completed their firs! t clinical. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, CPR certification and the ability to lift, ambulate and position patients weighing up to 75 lbs. are also required.
