Position Summary:
The Perioperative Care Technician, reporting to the Clinical Manager, is responsible for supporting the day-to-day activities of the Surgery Center as assigned. Tasks include, but are not limited to; patient care assignments-coordinated by a registered nurse. Tasks include, but are not limited to; patient care in Pre and Post Op areas-such as taking and documenting vital signs, preparing patients for surgery, patient transport between clinical areas, IV discontinuation,! patient discharge, stocking and inventory of supplies, assist! ing RNs during pain block procedures and performing 12 lead EKGs. The candidate will demonstrate a commitment to team work and take the initiative to find work during down times.
