Marshfield Clinic is expanding our hospitalist service to Western Wisconsin at three different sites - Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, and Rice Lake. Each site is staffed independently. The individual joining this service will work as part of a team of hospitalist with physician extender support (PAs and NPs)
- Shifts are 12 hours with 2050 hours expected annually (about 171 shifts)
- Scheduling is flexible depending on the site and local team agreements
- Moonlighting shifts are available at al! l sites
- Averarage census of 12-15 patients, Adult onl! y
- ICU patients are managed by critical care service (Eau Claire) or
- Specialty support and consultations through the Marshfield Clinic
This is a great opportunity to be involved in the expansion of this service. By having a core group of hospitalists to serve this region we will be able to provide continuity and maintain Marshfield Clinic's standards of excellent patient care. This unique and satisfying practice experience will provide hospitalist the opportunity to work in three hospitals of varying size from 45 beds to 340 beds.

Sacred Heart Hospital, an affiliate of Hospital Sisters Health System, is a 344-licensed bed acute care hospital that also provides Emergency Medical and Trauma Center and Regional Cancer Center services. The hospital provides residents of western Wisconsin the latest in medical care in a wide range of specialties including neurosurgery, cardiovascular services, womenâs health, cancer, trauma and critical care. Primary health services include surgical intensive, obstetric with level two nursery, behavioral health, medical, oncology, pediatric, neurology, orthopedic, surgical and inpatient physical rehabilitation. The emergency department is designated a level three trauma center and has an adjacent helicopter pad for emergency transport. Outpatient services include diagnostic and therapeutic services, ambulatory surgery, radiation oncology, dialysis, and rehabilitation services. The hospital is a Primary Stroke Center and offers leading edge medicine that i! ncludes advanced technologies in diagnostics, treatment and neurosurger! y. This technology includes two Smart OR surgical suites with an iMRI and iCT (one of the few suites of its kind in the nation for brain, spine and trauma patients), two da Vinci surgical robots, IMRT and IGRT, cardiac catheterization, advanced interventional radiology procedures and a state-of-the-art Biplane Angiography Suite.

Eau Claire is located in Western Wisconsin on the confluence of the Chippewa and Eau Claire rivers.
