Responsibilities:
Responsible for proper cleaning of instruments and equipment used in anesthesia, to ensure availability of supplies and equipment. Responsible for preoperative preparation. Thi! s includes preparing machines and equipment used for the deliv! ery of anesthetic; preparing the anesthesia cart with equipment, materials, and medications as requested by the anesthesia provider; and preparing the intravenous therapy (IV) solution and equipment needed to start the IV line. Assists with placement of electrocardiography (EKG) patches, blood pressure cuffs, and other non-invasive monitoring equipment. Assists with simple intubations. Positions the patient for starting of the IV and/or for the injection of a regional block. Assists the Anesthesiologists and Anesthesia Technicians during the delivery of the anesthetic. Anticipates the needs of the Anesthesiologist during changes in the patient's condition. Assists with clean up after the procedure and in preparation of the next procedure.

Monday - Friday 0630 - 1500 with variation based on s! urgical cases for each day.
