Job Description
Based upon the documentation contained, accurately codes ICD-9 diagnoses and CPT-4 procedures for the technical and/or professional component for Emergency Department, Same Day Surgery and/or Inpatient (technical or professional) records. Applies multiple regulations pertaining to documentation, coding and billing, and abstracts quality data. This position will code services for our regional location of Menomonie.
Basic Qualifications:
Successful completion of an approved health information technology program, minimum requirement. Additional training on computer applications preferred. Licensure/Registration/Certification(s): Accredited by American Health Information Management Association. Experience: 2 years’ experience in ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding of emergency department, same day surgery, inpatient technical and/or professional records, preferred. Excellence in medical terminology and u! nderstanding of medical reports. Also, strong background in An! atomy and Physiology recommended.

Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Hours/Pay Period: Full Time: 80 hours every 2 weeks
Schedule Details: Monday through Friday days
Weekend Schedule:
Compensation Detail: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $18.28 per hour.
