The Department of General and Vascular Surgery at Gundersen Health System has an opportuntiy for a vascular surgeon at our main campus in La Crosse, Wisconsin. With 12 Surgeons and 7 Asso! ciate/Midlevel providers on staff, you can enjoy a balanced lifestyle in a collegial environment. In addition to being designated a Level II Trauma Center, the department has a fully accredited five-year residency program with 3 categorical residents in training. This unique opportunity will not only allow you to practice but to teach and do research.
The successful candidate will be BC in general surgery and have completed a fellowship in vascular surgery. The practice involves all aspects of extracranial, cerebrovascular, peripheral vascular and endovascular surgery to include aortic, visceral, and extremity procedures as well as venous operations and hemodialysis. You will have protected OR time, access to a hybrid suite in our new Hospital!, and participate in multidisciplinary vascular conferences. You will also have access to our new Simulation and Training Lab and Education Center, a state of the art surgical training center on campus.
You will be joining a p! hysician-led, top-ranked teaching hospital and one of the larg! est multi-specialty group practices with over 470 medical staff. Telemedicine, specialty outreach, electronic health records and digital imaging connect our main campus with our many regional clinics, affiliate hospitals and practitioners.
