Seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician for high-quality, high-volume, feline-only spay/neuter clinic. Responsible for daily care of surgery patients, patient restraint, administration of anesthetic/analgesic agents, surgical preparation o! f patients, anesthetic monitoring, patient recovery, client education, and customer service.
Additional duties include maintaining complete medical records, controlled drug log, and medical supply inventory. Responsible for training and supervising a large team of interns, students, and volunteers. Must have a positive attitude, great work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fun and fast-paced environment. Excellent leadership and communication skills required.
Additional information: Position is part-time beginning late August; there is potential to expand to full-time hours in January 2014. Training includes 1-week travel to Humane Alliance headquarters in Asheville, North Carolina.
Qualifications: 1) Licensed graduate of AVMA accredited veterinary technology program or equivalent, 2) Must have current Wisconsin Veterinary Technician License, 3) Prefer 1-year experience working as CVT but may consider other relevant med! ical and leadership experience.
