Using excellent customer service, is responsible for adva! nced level scheduling of patients, updating patient information, performing visit processing (check in) and check out functions and acting as a liaison in reporting any patient suggestions to the clinic manager. Requires a variety of advanced skills to coordinate multiple, complex appointments, and patient related issues. Responsible for assisting in training of other employees in reception, associate and objective level scheduling. Also may be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of scheduling templates and providing input in department guidelines. Performs the complex scheduling greater than 50% of work time for assigned clinics.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. One year of UWHC Scheduler - Associate experience, or equivalent experience working in a medical office environment.
3. Excellent customer service skills
4. Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills.
5. Knowledge of and ability to ! use computers for entering appointment information and patient! billing
6. Knowledge of and ability to use computers including a variety of word processing and spreadsheet software programs (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel).
7. Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred.
8. Experience with answering phones, greeting clients and customers in person, and scheduling appointments.
9. Knowledge of and ability to use computers for entering appointment information and patient billing.
10. Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
11. Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
12. Ability to think independently and demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
13. Ability to work in a team environment and to collaborate with a variety of personnel.
14. Physical Requirements: Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of wa! lking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.

Pay

This is a Represented position and falls into Pay Grade G. The salary range begins at $13.85 per hour. Education, experience, tenure and internal equity may be taken into consideration when job offers are extended.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday between 7:00am and 6:00pm.
