Description: Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare is employing Surgical Assistant (Cardiac) right now, this job will be placed in Wisconsin. Provides surgical assistance to the surgeon during procedures and is directly responsible for maintaining aseptic integrity throughout the intra-operative phase. Assists with care and! safety of patients and other team members. Maintains instruments and equipment used in surgical procedures and assists with maintaining department inventories. Functions under direct supervision of physician, and provides patient care to all ages of patients, including neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric.
Assists in the preparation of materials, supplies and equipment for the surgical procedure. Performs 1st or 2nd assistant duties and assists the RN with patient care.
