We are looking for transcriptionists to work 2nd and 3rd shift.
We are not locked into specifics with 2nd and 3rd shift, but general hours for 2nd shift would be 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and 3rd shift would be 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m
.
There will also be weekend and holiday rotation. After fully trained we anticipate 1 weekend every 15 weeks and 1 holiday per year.
The Medical Transcriptionist is responsible for accurately and timely transcription of various detailed medical information in order to document and facilitate the delivery of care to patients of Ministry Health Care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Acurately and efficiently transcribes medical dictation to provide a permanent record of patient care
Transcribes medical dictation according to priority and turnaround time standards
Meets and/or exceeds established transc! ription quality standard of 98% accuracy while meeting and/or ! exceeding productivity standard
Understands and complies with all Ministry policies regarding patient confidentiality
Uses designated systems and software effectively, skillfully and efficiently
Works and communicates in a positive and cooperative maner with management, medical staff, coworkers, and others

Qualifications
High School Graduate or Equivalent
2 years of medical transcription experience in a healthcare environment, preferably hospital or large multi-speciality medical clinic
Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) preferred but not required
!
Previous medical transcription experience or education preferred
Business courses including typing and mechanical dictation/transcription preferred
Medical Terminology perferred
Excellent keyboarding skills required
Ability to apply English Language rules
Excellent listening skills
Excellent eye, hand and auditory coordination
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, and Outlook
Skills Required:
Knowledge of transcription software systems
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, clinical medicine, surgery, diagnostic tests, radiology, pathology, pharmacology, and various medical specialties.
Knowledge of medical transcription guidelines and practices
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including English usage, punctuation, grammar and style
Ability to understand diverse accents and! dialects and varying dictation styles
Ability to use designat! ed reference materials
Ability to operate designated word processing, dictation and transcription equipment and other equipment as specified
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work in a cooperative manner with other transcriptionists, management, physicians and other departments
Ability to work under pressure with time constraints and meet productivity and quality expectations
