Merge Healthcare is looking for a positive and energetic software developer to join our team of healthcare IT software professionals. Our developers employ an array ! of technologies to produce critical solutions for hospitals, surgery centers, and clinics. As a Software Manager, you will play a vital role in creating and maintaining both web-based and rich client UIs. You will plan a primary role in team building and process evolution involving Scrum and Agile based development methodologies and orchestrate workflow development and business logic improvements which drive our Cardio solutions.

Responsibilities:
Champion Scrum development methods and work to improve and refine processes to maximize quality and on-time delivery

Manage team members by performing goal setting, review, and conduct performance evaluations.

Provide technical leadership, p lanning, staffing recommendations, estimating, tracking and reporting status on projects under his/her control.

Implement and manage effective Scum/Agile methodologies in the software development process

Meet on-time delivery commitments ! to business and customers, in coordination with other function! al departments.

Oversee the review and approval of engineering documentation in support of our products.

Manage external dependencies and 3rd party deliverables to projects.

Work closely with testing, documentation, support and implementation teams and proactively collect and implement improvement feedback from these groups.

Ensure Merge methodology, and Quality system compliance in all work products and activities.

Effectively communicate with internal, 3 rd party vendors and external customers.

Skills, Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years' experience in software development, with demonstrated progression from developer, through team management and project management responsibilities.

Strong proven people management skills.

Should be familiar with multiple SDLC methodologies especially Agile and Scrum methods

Must be able to demonstrate mature levels of knowledge and experience with c! urrent software technologies and be able to coordinate and mentor technical team members.

Demonstrated ability to provide strong technical leadership and ability to build highly effective teams

Demonstrated experience utilizing leadership skills including strategic thinking, team building, adaptability and conflict resolution

Demonstrated ability to lead a project to on-time completion.

Ability to work on different projects concurrently

Excellent skills in oral and written communications, negotiation, leadership, problem analysis skills and with setting priorities.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Experienced in working with multi-location teams including offshore teams

Should possess conversational knowledge in Microsoft Windows software engineering environments using languages such as C#, C++, VC++, and/or Java,

Experience implementing Scrum a plus

Knowledge of th! e medical imaging market, end-users and OEMs preferred.

Famili! arity with Microsoft Office or other office automation software tools is desirable.

Minimal travel (up to 5%) may be required

Relocation costs not provided with this position

Education Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent level of industry related experience.

Certified Scrum Master designation is an advantage

PMP designation is an advantage

Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft project is an advantage
