The Surgery Triage RN works under the direction of the Surgery Supervisor to coordinate efficiencies of the daily schedule to accommodate sc! hedule changes, add-ons, and emergent procedures. The Triage RN will serve as base communication to incoming calls and requests. This person assists the Supervisor in the direction of patient care and all related activities of the surgery department. This individual must be positive, organized, and detail oriented as the position impacts physician satisfaction, resource utilization, patient satisfaction, employee performance and staff satisfaction.
Knowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing with an active Wisconsin nursing license and current CPR certification. A minimum of three years experience in perioperative nursing, successful experience in a leadership role in the surgery environment, demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills, and a work record of collaborative working relationships.
